CREATIVITY
Lemongrass is native to India, tropical Asia, Sri Lanka, and Africa. This aromatic herb is used widely in foods and medicines throughout these countries and also in the Caribbean, the Seychelles, and Indonesia. This is a very pungent herb normally used in small amounts. The light lemon flavor of this grass blends well with other herbs. Often found in teas, herbalists say that lemongrass is good for skin complaints, sore throats, headaches, and respiratory problems. Dried lemongrass leaves are often burned to keep the mind alert. Aromatherapists cite lemongrass as beneficial in fostering creativity. Truly an ancient herb, early Arab perfumers used lemongrass mixed with sesame and cotton oil for fragrance.
